Who is Melanie
I am a photographer and visual storyteller working at the intersection of culture, space and human experience.
My work focuses on capturing presence, connection and collective moments.
I collaborate with cultural initiatives, events and individuals to translate ideas into visual narratives, images that communicate atmosphere, identity and meaning beyond documentation.
My approach is based on observation, proximity and collaboration.
I am interested in what happens between people, in the way spaces are inhabited, and in the subtle dynamics that define each moment. Through photography and moving image, I aim to create work that resonates and stays.
With a background in architecture and urbanism, I bring a spatial and relational perspective to my practice, understanding how people, environments and movement interact, and how these relationships can be translated into images.
I work with cultural institutions, festivals, community initiatives and creatives who seek to communicate their work through meaningful and thoughtful visual content.
I work in English, German, Spanish and Portuguese, across both local and international contexts.
If you are working on a project and feel this approach resonates, I’d love to hear from you.
